Area Council Meetings  

In addition to the special Area Council meeting on 13 January, there will be the following Area Council Meetings

  • Monday 2 February via Zoom. Reports and the link will be sent to club contacts a few days before the meeting
  • Friday 26 June at Benson Parish Hall, Sunnyside, Benson, OX10 6LZ. This meeting will be followed by an Area Lunch
  • Friday 16 October at Benson Parish Hall, Sunnyside, Benson, OX10 6LZ. AGM plus lunch and afternoon entertainment .

Area Day : Friday 20 March: Flower Power  

Come along and enjoy flowers and themed music at our 2026 Area Day  entitled ‘Flower Power’ Friday 30 March 2026. Entertainment includes flowery musical entertainment in the morning, quizzes, retail therapy and an afternoon demonstration by National Demonstrator, Vanessa Wellock.

Lunch will be a cold buffet set out on each table (10 people per table) so you can pick and choose from a range of dishes without having to queue at the serving hatch.

Cost is only £35 (what a bargain) so book your tickets by completing the form below. We welcome anyone interested in a fun, floral day – including those new to flower arranging or ex-members of clubs which have sadly closed. The event will be held 10.30-4pm (doors open at 10.00am) at Benson Parish Hall, Sunnyside, Benson, OX10 6LZ.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along a floral design:  ‘Floral Adornment’ and/or ‘Flora Cuppa’ , not too large (approximately 20cm x 20cm, height optional space.) This competition will be judged by popular vote and by National Judge Pat Dibben.

Deadline for booking lunch is Sunday 15  March.

Area Workshop: 18th April 2026

HITOMI INSPIRATIONS – WORKSHOP WITH CAROL BENNETT  Saturday 18th April 2026

10.00am – 3.00pm at Crowmarsh Village Hall, Benson Lane, Crowmarsh Gifford, OX10 8ED

A fun craft workshop making extensions using cane and wire, which are covered with materials such as wool, beads, etc, then manipulated into interesting shapes and curls and used to incorporate chosen flowers in a pleasing design.  Cost £40.  Come and join us and perhaps bring a friend to share in the experience with you. AREA Garden Tour to Suffolk: 7-10 May 2026 

The 2026 Area Garden Tour will be to the delightful gardens on Suffolk, 7-10th May. For more information and booking form please click on the following links:

Area Show: Saturday 6 June 2026

The 2026 Area Show will once again take place as part of the Royal Windsor Flower Show at The York Club, Windsor Great Park, SL4 2BS. With an overall title ‘Music & Movement’ there are classes to suit all tastes and skill levels, including:

  • Club Class: Dancing the Night Away. Open only to BB&O clubs, who will receive £100 towards the cost of staging.
  • Hanging Class: Cirque  du Soleil. Open to anyone. Entry fee £5
  • Table top Class: Rock around the Clock Open to anyone. Entry fee £5
  • Craft Class: Can Can. Open to anyone. Entry fee £5
  • Imposed Class; Let’s Twist Again. Open to anyone. Entry fee £35, which includes all materials
