Rejoice: Flower Festival in Old Windsor:  27-29 May 2022

Old Windsor Flower Club will be staging a festival of flowers at the parish church of St Peter and St Andrew, Church Road, Old Windsor, Berkshire. SL4 2JW in celebration of 8oo years of the church and village.

Having signed Magna Carta just down the road at Runnymede, King John began to have second thoughts and sent to France for mercenaries; as they rode through Old Windsor they destroyed the Saxon church.  It was  rebuilt 800 years ago and this is what the village celebrates this year.  Floral arrangements will depict events from the early 13th century through to people, places and events in more recent years.

Deck the Halls Flower Festival: 26-27 November 2022

Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel near Pangbourne, Reading.

This Christmas flower festival, which was postponed from 2020 is now in planning stage.  Each set of exhibits will depict a Christmas carol or song.

Proceeds will be donated to the local branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel Trust – very appropriate in this 40th anniversary year of the Falklands war.

More information will be available shortly, but in the meantime Falklands 2022 Letter to Clubs has been circulated to clubs advising them of the types of design required.  Clubs are being contacted individually to discuss design opportunities as we would like all clubs to participate if possible.
