‘Speak Up for Flowers’: Saturday 20 April 2024
This half day Refresher Event for Speakers is open to any member of the Area who would like to learn more about speaking confidently in public. An invaluable skill for your Club life – and any other situation where you find yourself needing to “speak up”. ‘Strictly Flowers’ Area Day: Friday 26 April 2024
Along the lines of previous events this year’s area day will be themed around dancing. With the usual fun morning activities, lunch, competitions, afternoon demonstration and tea this is sure to be another enjoyable day. It will be held 10.30am-4.00pm (doors open at 10.15am) on Friday 26th April at Benson Parish Hall, Sunnyside, Benson, OX10 6LZ. Cost will be £30.

If completing for someone else you should include THEIR name, but you may include YOUR EMAIL and Your telephone number if you wish. Acknowledgement of successful bookings will be emailed to the email address on the form.

BB&O Malvern Qualifier Competition: Friday 26 April 2024
NAFAS and the RHS have teamed up to encourage new talent at RHS shows. At the Malvern Autumn Show in September each NAFAS Area will compete against each other to create a foam free exhibit under RHS rules. The winner of this competition will then be fully funded by NAFAS to stage at RHS Chelsea in May 2025. But here’s that catch – the person selected to stage at Chelsea MUST NOT have competed, either individually or as part of a team, at any previous RHS Chelsea show. The aim is to give newcomers an opportunity to stage at this prestigious event., and to encourage new talent from within NAFAS.
The BB&O Area will select its representative at a qualifier competition on Friday 26th April. Yes, that’s the same day/venue as the ‘Strictly Flowers’ Area Day, so the appropriately named competition title is ‘Natural Turns’. Candidates will stage in the morning so all ‘Strictly Flowers’ attendees can view the finished designs in the afternoon.
The ‘Natural Turns‘ winner must be prepared to stage at the Malvern Show 27-29 September, and, if successful there, then go on to stage at RHS Chelsea in May 2025.

‘Foam Free Pedestal’ Workshop: Friday 27 September 2024
This workshop, Tutored by Sandie Draper, is particularly suitable for those preparing church pedestals – beginners welcome. It will be held 10.00 to 3.30 pm at St Mary’s Church Hall, Wexham, SL3 6LH. Booking form to follow.
