Area Events

Area AGM: Friday 16 October   

The 66th Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday 16th October 2026 at Benson Parish Hall, Sunnyside, Benson, OX10 6LZ.  The meeting (10.30-12.00) is open to anyone. Voting is by BB&O clubs only.   For details of the meeting and how to make nominations for awards see AGM 2026.

The afternoon entertainment (12.30-15.30) is open to any member or visitor. Those wishing to enjoy the lunch and/or afternoon entertainment should complete a  booking form at 2026 AGM Booking Form. The afternoon demonstration will be by our very talented Area Demonstrator Renata Petrauskienne with a new title just for us.

Deadline for booking lunch is Sunday 11th October

Cost is £35 for lunch AND  afternoon entertainment – OR £12 for the entertainment only.

Main course choice:

  1. Breast of chicken with a tarragon and black grape sauce
  2. Poached salmon fillet with herb mayonnaise
  3. Vegetarian Quiche

Dessert choice (including coffee and mints):

  1. Lemon posset with shortbread
  2. Fresh fruit salad

Each table will  have self-service bowls of side dishes to go with the main course:

  • Tomato, cucumber and dill salad with mixed lettuce leaves
  • Carrot and raisin salad with chives (Gluten Free)
  • Pea, mint feta salad with cous cous
  • Warm new potatoes with herb butter (Gluten Free)

Dessert will be followed by tea/coffee and mints.

Area Tour ‘Glorious Gardens of Norfolk’: 6-9 May 2027 

Glenis Smith and Sally Ballard have been working with ECT to put together another exciting garden tour. Area Trip to NAFAS Nationals: 7-9 July 2027  

The BB&O Area is currently planning a coach trip to Lincoln for the NAFAS National Show for either a 2 night or 3 night stay depending on what people want. More details to follow.
