‘Christmas Wreath Workshops’: Saturday 30 November 2024

The first Christmas Wreath Workshop will take place will take place 11.00am to 3.30pm on Saturday 30th November at St John’s Church Centre, Church Road, Woodley, Reading, RG5 4QN. There is plenty of parking in front of the hall. Cost is £35 with all materials plus tea/coffee provided, but please BYO lunch. This workshop will be tutored by Area teacher Carol Bennett. The second Christmas Wreath Workshop will take place in the afternoon 2.30pm – 5.00pm on Saturday 30th November at Amersham Large Barn Hall Amersham Community Centre, Chiltern Avenue, Amersham HP6 5AR. Cost is £35 with all materials provided plus tea/coffee. The venue has a pay and display car park with a £2.70 fee for four hours – postcode for car park is HP6 5AH. Payment by online transfer is much preferred. With so many local banks closing it is very onerous for our Area Treasurer to travel miles to pay in cheques, but if you really cannot pay any other way then cheques will be accepted.

‘Festive Floral Fantasy’ Demonstration: Wednesday 4 December: Back at Exeter Hall

This type of event is a new venture for the Area – a Christmas demonstration organised by 2 clubs but supported by Area by helping with marketing, organisation and financial support where needed. This year Bladon & Woodstock Flower Club and Bicester Floral Club invite members and visitors to a wonderful Christmas Demonstration on Wednesday 4th December by the very talented Arnaud Metairie with his demonstration called ‘Festive Floral Fantasy’. This event was planned to take place at Exeter Hall in Kidlington, but this building suffered severe damage in recent floods so an alternative venue has been arranged. Thankfully the Exeter Hall repairs will be in time for the event so it will take place as originally planned at Exeter Hall, Oxford Road, Kidlington, OX5 1AB Doors open at 6.15pm for you to enjoy some retail therapy before the demonstration at 7.30. Cost of tickets is £10 for members of Bladon & Woodstock and Bicester flower clubs, and £15 for all other visitors, Ticket includes a complimentary drink on arrival, so please come and join us for a fabulous evening. Area Trainee MOCK Demonstrators Tests: Saturday 22 February 2025.

An opportunity to support BB&O and other Area trainee Demonstrators on their journey to becoming NAFAS Area Demonstrators. The tests will be held on Saturday 22 February 2025 at Holyport Memorial Hall, Moneyrow Green, Holyport, Maidenhead. SL6 2NA.

Area Trainee FINAL Demonstrators Tests: Saturday 5 April 2025.

An opportunity to share the final culmination of a lot of hard work and preparation by the Trainee Demonstrators to take their final step to qualify as a NAFAS Area Demonstrator. The tests will be held on Saturday 22 February 2025 at Holyport Memorial Hall, Moneyrow Green, Holyport, Maidenhead. SL6 2NA
