NAFAS Webinar: 16 May 2024
The first NAFAS webinar is being held on Thursday 16th May 2024 at 6.00pm to 8.00pm.
This is an opportunity for NAFAS members to talk directly to the Board of Trustees and the CEO.
You will be able to ask questions during the webinar by posting them in chat, or you can email your questions in advance to: info@nafas.org.uk

NAFAS National Show: Florilegium: A Gathering of Flowers: 12-13 May 2023
Friday 12th May 2023: 10am – 7pm
Saturday 13th May 2023: 10am – 6pm
- Thursday 11th May 2023, 7.30pm to 9.30pm: ‘The Reveal’ – An evening of viewing exhibits and prize winner presentations at. Tickets at £12 per person are available via Eventbrite
There will be a Competitive Show, Demonstrations, Talks and Teaching How-To Sessions plus a mixture of Trading Stands and the company of NAFAS members from far and wide.
An exciting competition schedule is being prepared and will be available on the NAFAS website and via post on request. Date of availability tbc. Keep an eye on the NAFAS website at nafas.org.uk

National Flower Arranging Day 6 May 2022
In 2022 the national publicity initiative ‘National Flower Arranging Day’ will be on Friday 6th May. Clubs are encouraged to leave designs in public places for people to pick up and take home. Printed cards were available for clubs to collect at the March council meeting, but with limited opportunities to hand out the cards between now and 6th May, clubs may like to download the NAFAS card at Nat Flower Arranging Day Card A6 2022_FINAL
Alternatively clubs may prefer to use their own publicity material.. Clubs are encouraged to do whatever they feel most comfortable with to promote their club during this first week in May.,
Fit for a Queen – Platinum Jubilee Design in The Flower Arranger
Have you seen the opportunity described on page 64 of the Spring 2022 edition of the Flower Arranger?
In this historic year celebrating 70 years since Her Majesty The Queen’s accession to the throne The Flower Arranger magazine is inviting readers to create and send in a photograph of a Platinum Jubilee design ‘Fit for a Queen’ for a chance to have it featured in the magazine.
All you have to do is email ONE clear photographic image of your design with NO digital enhancement to editor@nafas.org.uk by 12pm on Tuesday 3 May 2022 with ‘Fit for a Queen‘ in the email subject header.
How to take part:
- Space allowed is width 60cm, depth 60 cm, height 90cm
- Should be staged on a light-coloured, plain-topped table with a matching or similarly light-coloured background
- Should incorporate at least one purple and one platinum-coloured component
- Suggest you refer to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Emblem on the British Monarchy website (royal.uk) for inspiration
- All designs will be assessed by the Editor and NAFAS National Judges according to the NAFAS rules in the NAFAS Competitions Manual (3rd edition 2015) – this may be purchased via the NAFAS website
- The Editor and Judges’ decision is final
- One submission only per person.
- Design should be original, your own work and must not have been submitted elsewhere or on social media.
- By submitting your photograph you are agreeing to future use of it with your name by The Flower Arranger and NAFAS in any form including social media.
