What’s On in the Berks Bucks and Oxon Area of NAFAS
All 2020 area events listed here have been cancelled.
If practical they will be rescheduled for 2021.
Area Day – A Passage to India: 27 March 2020 – Cancelled – provisionally rearranged for 16 April 2021
A Spectacular fun day of entertainment, food and retail therapy.
For those lucky enough to have a ticket please join in the fun. If possible wear something indian. Also we would like as many entries as possible in the competitions – An Indian floral neck garland and/or a floral tapestry pillow. These competitions are all about having fund – they do not have to conform to NAFAS Competitions Manual standards. They should be small and can include artificial plant material. Just bring your entry along on the day. The competitions will be judged by an area judge and by public vote from the attendees. Have fun.
Tour of Awarding Winning Gardens in Somerset and Wiltshire: 14-17 May 2020 – Cancelled

Diamond Dazzler: Blenheim Palace Flower Show: 26-28 June 2020 – Cancelled – hopefully will happen in 2021
An interclub competition celebrating the BB&O Area’s diamond anniversary. To encourage all clubs to enter the area will contribute £60 per exhibit.
All classes are based on song titles including the word Diamonds:
– Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes (Craft exhibit)
– Diamonds are Forever (Pedestal)
– Diamonds in the Mine (Staged using cube provided)
– Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (Hanging exhibit)
– Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend (Staged on open tabling)
Craft and hanging exhibits may be brought or sent ready made.
BB&O Diamond Anniversary Boat Trip: 15 July 2020 – Cancelled – provisionally rearranged for 21 July 2021
An opportunity to sail down the River Thames from Windsor, enjoying afternoon tea with friends. The boat sails from the Runnymede Boathouse, Windsor Road, Old Windsor at 1pm, returning 5pm.

Deck the Halls: 21-22nd November 2020 – Pangbourne College – Cancelled – hopefully will happen in 2021
To mark the end of the BB&O Diamond Anniversary Year there will be a seasonal flower festival at the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel at Pangbourne College.
Proceeds will be shared between the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel Trust and Motor Neurone Disease Association Reading and West Berkshire Branch.
We hope all clubs will be involved. Funding from area will be available for clubs depending on the size of their exhibit. Staging is on Friday 20th November. More details later.
